Iranian-American Partnership Association for Medical Science and Public Health (IAPA)

A Swiss non-political, non-profit organization domiciled in Geneva, IAPA was established in 2015 by OIDG in cooperation with dedicated Iranian and Swiss individuals and institutions involved in the areas of medical science, public health and health diplomacy.

Background

IAPA Objectives include:

  • Providing support for UN Millennium Development Goals to reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, and combat HIV/AIDS and other diseases in Iran and the Mississippi Delta;
  • Expanding Medical education and training programs for medical students, physicians, nurses, midwives and lay public;
  • Developing training programs in the areas of critical care, trauma care, hospice care, and mental health services; and,
  • Supporting the introduction, training, and implementation of new medical technologies in Iranian hospitals.
